I found the location very convenient (about a block from St. Laurent Metro). The block the hotel's on is a bit on the sketchy side, but the metro being there means that it's a high traffic area so it felt pretty safe. Even though there were a lot of people on the streets though, the room itself was not noisy. The bathrooms were also the total highlight of the hotel - for a place with shared bathrooms, these were some of the nicest bathrooms I have seen, they were spacious and the fixtures were clean and new looking.
the artwork, the staff, the location, the price
That I got my money back from our two nights out of our 3 nights stay! It was honestly this "motel" is horrible and I don't know how you have it under 2 starts hotel here, it deserves a motel category, nothing more. It might be a good place for backpackers or smth like that, maybe they are used to be staying at a red light district or bad area...it's definitely not a family hotel. We saw drunk guys vomiting in front of the doors, drogadicts and right on St. Laurent it has a Bourdel. Good luck to Booked.net with it, it really sucks! Sorry!!!
Everything! We didnt like a single thing! It's the most horrible experience ever! We had travel across Europe and we know about small hotels, this is worse than a truck motel!
Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and good location
Great for our budget. Perfect location for our needs. We would definitely stay there again, and we most likely will next summer for Osheaga 2012.
My only complaint was that the Wi-Fi did not reach our room on the 3rd floor. We had to go down to the second floor in order for our iPhones to detect the wireless connection. But that wasn't a huge deal.
I've stayed there about 5 times and love it every time. It's in a great location close to old montreal, great shopping and good restaurants! Will definitely stay there again!
The staff of the hotel is great!!! They are so kind and are always willing to help and serve the clients.I Needed help and they helped me greatly!!!! Whenever I will come to Montreal I will stay in this hotel. Also it is very cloth to the bus stop and to many interesting locations.
It was a cheap and cheerful hotel. Clean, with pleasant staff and really central. Super easy to walk to airport bus, metro, and bixi stand. It's not in the most fancy part of the city - there's strip joints and sex shops and western union in the same block. But I felt perfectly safe the whole time I was there. And it's pretty inexpensive, so no complaints here.
The hotel staff was so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were extremely affordable, especially for the quality. Other reviews I read said that the location was an issue for them, but I found it to be no different than any other hotel located in an urban area. The area seemed very safe.
I wouldn't change a thing about this hotel.
Rooms were very nice and staff very nice al for an excellent rate (compared to other hotels in the area anyway)
Not in the best area... Next to a sex shop and a money mart... but a great hotel
kindness of the staff
tobacco smell on the third floor
Close to everything, helpful staff, charming character
In a slightly sketchy area - strip clubs etc. Wouldn't want to stay there alone or as 2 females, but I was with my boyfriend.
The staff were simply wonderful!! Very friendly and helpful as we weren't familiar with the city. The rooms were clean as could be!
My only complaint would be the size of the shower we had. Very small and I tend to like a bathtub. But, that was a small price to pay for the wonderful location and customer service shown to us!
Hotel is centrally located to everything. Good value for your money.
At night there is a different element outside of the hotel. There is a strip club across the street and a sex shop next door. You can hear the rowdy drunks and partiers across the street coming out of the strip club.
Very friendly staff. Very fresh and clean room.
Moldly smell on steps. No problem in room.
